The Alcohol & Drug Council of Tompkins County, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit agency which provides comprehensive evaluations, treatment in the form of individual and group counseling, education and prevention services, and referral to alcohol and chemical abuse/dependency. Education and Prevention programs include, but are not limited to:
  • Peer Education Program
  • Drinking Driver Program
  • BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening & Intervention for College Students)
  • training for businesses and other interested organizations
Evidence-based and treatment programs include, but are not limited to:
  • trauma informed treatment

The Van Dyke Addiction Treatment Center is a 30-bed, tobacco-free, residential center operated by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). The Van Dyke Center provides a comprehensive treatment program to addicts, their families and significant others. The Center offers separate treatment programs for women and men, designed for the special needs of each gender. There is an emphasis on using medication-assisted recovery, including Suboxone, as prescribed by the Van Dyke ATC physician.
